Céile Dé Groups

Until a few years ago, Céile Dé only taught in Scotland. As we take our teachings further afield, we encourage and actively support the formation of groups that meet regularly, in both Europe and the USA.

Céile Dé Groups meet regularly in their own areas to meditate together, to celebrate the festivals, and also to share their insights into aspects of the tradition they have been taught.

Céile Dé Groups

We require a certain commitment from all of our group members. To understand more about this, please read “A History and Vision Statement for Céile Dé Groups” on our articles page and also “What happens next if I want to join a Céile Dé group? ” on our FAQs page. If you contact one of the group representatives below, they will also be able to help you learn more about what we mean by “commitment” in a group context.

We also ask that all group members commit to attending teaching events given by an ordained Céile Dé teacher in the closest possible area to where they live, whenever they are able to do so, and certainly more often than not. This is because without these ongoing teachings, group participation would soon become impossible at the level we require to facilitate inner movement.

Below you will find a list of all active Céile Dé groups and their contact details.

Location: ALBA (Scotland) – Edinburgh
Group: Caim Dhùn Èideann
Every three months, we travel together for teaching days at our Céile Dé Mother-house in the hills above Kippen, near Stirling.

Between times, at our group meetings, we share and discuss our experiences of Ceile De teachings and ceremonies, and of growing in the spiritual life. We also chant Fuinn and read Celtic myths together, to find hidden wisdom. Each meeting ends with Run, our silent communing with the Mystery at the heart of everything.

Location: ALBA (Scotland) – From all over, but meeting together for teachings
Group: Dream Dhìsertach
This Group consists of individuals who are following the Tradition in a committed way, but who are unable to join a local group, usually this is because they live too far from where the nearest group are located and so they mostly practice alone.

As well as receiving teaching support from an Order member whenever they require it, These lone practitioners gather together four times a year, for teaching days at Céile Dé's Mother-house in the heart of Scotland.

To join the Dream Dhìsertach, we ask that you have the discipline to be able to work as a solitary within the vehicle of the Tradition and that, as with members of all of our groups, you do your utmost to attend teaching days.
