We are a small Order, rich in love of God, love of Heaven and Earth, our beautiful Tradition and the entrustment of that Tradition to the Future.
Our main work these days involves teaching all that we know, offering a rich and powerful method of spiritual transformation.
But we need support…
We are not maintained by any benefactors, a Church or any governing body at all… yet we are seeking to grow as best we can, thus enabling us to better pass on the Tradition that we and so many of you love so much…
In Summer 2009, due to circumstances beyond our control, we suddenly lost our little Monastery and Retreat Centre; the place that we hoped would ensure the future security and growth of our Tradition. For not the first time in our long history, the Order of Céili Dé is without a home. Despite this huge blow, we continue to do our very best to serve the needs of our Tradition and Community.
It remains our most sacred intention that one day we will regain an adequate foothold in the world to ensure the Tradition’s survival into future generations. A permanent Monastery would help to keep this beautiful Tradition alive by also functioning as a gathering place; a teaching and retreat centre for everyone who loves the Tradition; it would also make it easier to welcome new members to our Order – and, most vital of all, it would grow its future teachers.
It is hard for us to manifest sufficient funds to build ourselves a new home; we have little money and scant means to earn more - so much of our time is spent responding to communications of all kinds from interested people all over the world… We also engage daily in the work of serving and coordinating our growing number of groups and solitary practitioners, both in Europe and the USA. The people who do this work are supported entirely from donations to Céile Dé. Any money over and above the everyday needs of Order members goes into our savings towards a Monastery. It will take us a while to have a roof over our Order again - with an oratory and a perpetual flame at its heart – but we will get there!
Whether you are a browser who has been nourished by what you have found here, a newcomer to our Tradition or a long-term committed member, if you are able to offer even a small donation to help us to continue this work and support our intention we would be very grateful.
