Although this event is intended as a follow-up to an introductory workshop, there will be frequent reference to what has been taught before, so newcomers are welcome and will find there is plenty of opportunity to catch up. Our time together will include - * Regular chant and meditation practices * Study of the Celtic “discernment of spirits” * Breathing and visualisation exercises * Understanding some of the Celtic Deities and their symbolic relationship on the path to Christ Consciousness. |

| Prayer through sound: | Land... Song... Being... The Sacred chants of the Gael The Gaelic word “Fonn” simultaneously means “land”, “song” and “state of being”. These centuries-old sacred chants are a major part of the Céile Dé tradition. Many of the Fuinn (plural) are two millennia old. This evening will not be a "concert", rather it will be an opportunity to bathe in the energy that these ancient chants invoke. It will be a rare opportunity to return to the original purpose of song - the voice of the Soul pouring its devotion into being, in praise of the Great Mystery we call God. |

| Workshop: | Land... Song... Being... The Sacred chants of the Gael. This workshop will use each of the fuinn we chant to introduce to us one of the sacred stories or philosophies of the Céile Dé… It will be an ideal weekend for both people who want to explore the sacred singer in themselves and for those who want to learn more about the Living and ancient Spirituality of the Gaelic countries. All the chants are in Gaelic - one of the oldest living languages in Europe. But don’t worry if you can’t speak the Gaelic! The fuinn are all fairly short and easy to learn. By way of an introduction to the power of the fuinn, Fionntulach will also give a meditative evening of chant, sacred song and hallowed silences on the evening of the 7th November. (see above) |
