Whilst some Céile Dé gatherings are only available to group members, those that are open to everyone are listed at the bottom of this page. Céile Dé teachings take place regularly in Scotland, England, Europe and the USA. If you are thinking about coming to a Céile Dé event you will find the following information useful.
Teaching Gatherings
Most of the Céile Dé gatherings listed below are residential. There are teaching sessions every day as well as regular meditative practices. A peaceful silence is held at all times between sessions in order to aid absorption of the powerful energies transmitted during teachings and practices. Unless specifically stated in the retreat information provided below, all teaching retreats include the following as a matter of course:
- Regular prayer times/meditation practices every day
- Ancient Gaelic sacred chants
- Spiritual Teachings from the Céile Dé tradition
- Spiritual practices for inner transformation
- Quiet time in Nature; the Face of The Divine.
Written materials are usually provided in order to aid further study and reflection.
Introductory Teachings
Geared specifically towards newcomers, introductory teaching events are clearly Identified by their title. If there are no introductory teachings available in your area, you are welcome at any of the gatherings listed below; as there will be frequent reference throughout to what has been taught before.
It is in the nature of this tradition...
...that the teachings make most sense and have the greatest impact on those who have made Céile Dé their path. For this reason our teaching retreats are aimed at both committed practitioners and genuinely interested newcomers who are hoping the Céile Dé tradition may turn out to be the spiritual way of life they have been looking for. If you are hoping for something that is offered as a stand-alone workshop, you may be disappointed.
Newcomers will be informed during any of the events listed below of the possibilities available to them, should they wish to take their exploration of the Céile Dé Tradition further.
